Aryans Techno-Cultural Fest kick starts today at Aryans Campus

3-days Youth Festival of Punjabi University, Patiala-Fatehgarh zone having around 4000 students of 44 participating Colleges falling under Fatehgarh Zone along with today started at Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. Dr. M.P. Poonia, Director, NITTR was the Chief Guest; Dean, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Kulbir Singh Dhillon was the Guest of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.

On the other hand over 1000 students, farm25ers, academicians, researchers, professionals etc. visited “Aryans Tech Fest”. Solar Fest, Science Fest, Industrial Training Fest, Robo Fest, Agro Fest, IT Fest etc. were the main attraction of this fest.

Dr. M.P. Poonia while appreciating the efforts made by Aryans in hosting the Golden Jubilee of this fest at its campus. He welcomed and appraised the participating students from distant colleges for showcasing their talents in various activities.

Kulbir Singh Dhillon while speaking on the ocassion said that such festivals prove helpful in the development of language, literature & culture and give a hilarious boost to student activities. The event provided a platform for the students to showcase their talent and share their knowledge in various cultural, technical and educational fields.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, said The Festival is a unique platform for young talent and a celebration of youthful creativity and innovation. Kataria added, such festivals build self-esteem and confidence of the youth. Their creativity is developed and honed in these competitions.

Flash Mob dance organized at Rose Garden by Aryans Students

Chandigarh 4th September

Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Plan, Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh today organized a Flash Mob Dance at Rose Garden and Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh under the theme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and “Say no to Drugs”. The motto of the flash mob dance was to create awareness among masses to encourage more girls to come forward for education and to make country drug free.

Hundreds of students of various courses including B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA, B.Sc(Agri), GNM and polytechnic Diploma etc today participated in this flash mob dance.

Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group while speaking said that the awareness rally would not only motivate the girl students to come forward but also ensure survival and protection, empowerment and create an enabling environment for bringing about social change regarding equality too.

Sidhu further said that girls are doing well in sports, education, health sectors and agriculture but the ratio is very less in technical courses due to their less interest, High fee structure. The campaign will encourage girls to explore their potential in engineering and technology fields with lesser fee structure at Aryans.

In the other activity students have also highlighted “Say no to drugs and lead a safe and healthy life” slogan. The efforts of state govt. and local administration in making a drug free and educated society were highlighted. Prevention of drug abuse would ensure the well-being of children and youth, their families and the society. While saying ‘no’ to drugs, the students also created awareness of the disastrous effects of drugs.

Aryans, Chandigarh & Rosemine, Patna Join hands for a new Scholarship Scheme

Patna 28th August

To empower the students and strengthen the education for the students of minority communities, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Rosemine Educational & Charitable Trust, Patna.

The MoU has been signed between Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Dr. Anshu Kataria and Chairman, Rosemine Educational & Charitable Trust. A press conference was also organized today in Hotel, The Panache, South Gandhi Maidan, Patna.

Kataria added that Govt universities have approved 90,000/- as the annual fees for engineering courses which comes out to be 3.6 lakhs for the 4 years course. Aryans would give a scholarship of Rs 1.8 cr for those selected students.

Kataria further added that the scholarship would be given on merit cum means basis. He said that Aryans is offering B.Tech, LEET, MBA, BCA, BBA, BA, B.Com, B.Sc (Agri), BA-LLB, LLB, MA (Edu) courses  at its campus in which students can opt for various other scholarship schemes. Kataria further added that Aryans is the only campus near Chandigarh having more than 3000 students out of which nearly 1500 students belong to economically weaker sections of minority community of Bihar including Muslims Sikh, Parsi, & Christians.

Kataria further appreciated the role and work done by Rosemine educational trust in past years to uplift the stature of technical education among the students of Bihar, Jharkhand etc. “Recently Mr. Awais Amber, Chairman of the trust has been awarded for this contribution by the Ex- Governor of Andaman & Nicobar, Gen. A.K Singh in a function held at Aryans Campus” Kataria added.

Awais Amber while speaking on the occasion said that the aim of scholarship is to encourage more parents from minority communities to send their children for higher education and lighten their financial burden on technical education.

It is to be mentioned that established in 2007, Aryans campus is located on Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh and has lush green 20 acres pollution   free campus.  Aryans Group has been   serving the educational and intellectual interests of the youth in a commendable manner. Renowned Canadian Entrepreneur interacts with the students of Aryans

Renowned Canadian Entrepreneur and social activist, Mr. Sukhi Bath today interacted with the students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. A seminar was organized on the “Career Opportunities after Graduation in Canada” at its campus. Mr. Jaswinder Singh Dilawari was also present on the occasion. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event. Students of B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA, GNM, ANM, MA (Edu), B.Sc (Agri) etc participated in the seminar.

Mr. Sukhi Bath while interacting with the students said that both countries have great scope for co-operation in high-end technologies, infrastructure, renewable energy, education etc. Canada is gifteCanadian Delegation at Aryans Groupd with huge amount of natural resources especially in renewable energy sources, while India is the second most populous country and one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Mr Bath while exploring the opportunities available for the youth said that more than 77,000 jobs are approved for funding under Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program this year across Canada, more than double last year’s 34,000 and roughly 7,000 more than originally anticipated when the government announced a boost to the program funding in the federal budget earlier this year.

Mr. Bath further said that CSJ creates summer job opportunities and provides valuable work experience for youth aged 15 to 30 intending to return to their full-time studies in the next school year. The program helps young people gain the skills, abilities and work experience they need to find and maintain good employment.

Mr. Jaswinder Dilawari while speaking on the occasion said that Agriculture and food processing are also potential areas for co-operation between both the countries. Canada exports pulses, lentils, food grains to different countries. Specifically, it supplies around 40% of lentils consumed in India. There is a lot of scope for collaboration in the processed food sector, as very few Canadian food processing companies have explored investment opportunities in India.

Dr. Anshu Kataria while speaking on the occasion said that Aryans have already entered into a number of Tie-ups/Collaborations with Canadian Universities and Colleges for Student and Faculty exchange programs including Sprott Shaw College, Vancouver; University of Fraser Valley, British Columbia; Loyalist College, Ontario etc.

Governor Andaman inaugurates Aryans 10th Academic Session

Patiala 10th August

Lt. Gen A.K. Singh, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, (Retd) the Lt Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands today formally inaugurated 10th academic session of Aryans in a function being organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh at its campus.

Later Lt. Gen A.K. Singh also participated in a National Level Seminar on “National Security & Role of Armed Forces”. Dr. Mohan Paul Singh Isher was the Guests of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. On the occasion Gen A.K. Singh formally inaugurated 10th academic session of Aryans with lamp lighting ceremony and also released its brochure.

Gen A.K. Singh congratulated the students, staff and management   on the start of 10th Academic session. He mentioned He said that he is amazed to see the students from all over the Country who are currently studying at Aryans. He addressed the youth on “National Security and Role of Armed Forces” & urged that every citizen should take the responsibility for maintaining the peace to save and secure their environment.

Gen A.K. Singh while speaking said that Forces are the pillars and foundation of the national security and peace. All the forces are embedded and reserved with the Armed Forces. It is the responsibility of the Armed Forces to forestall peace and safety in the country. He covered positive and negative aspects of the Country wherein social evils like discrimination on Caste, Colour, Creed; Corruption etc need to be eradicated. “A good military leader should have humility in his personality but arrogance in uniform” he added.

Vice Chancellor, MRS-PTU, Bathinda, Dr. Mohan Paul Singh while speaking on the occasion said that National Security is a top public issue today. There is need for a total overhaul of the curriculum at all levels of education with a view to providing its recipients, broad based education in the development of the mind, soul and body. “There is a need in the development of appropriate attitudes, skills, abilities and competences to co-exist with and contribute to the development of the society” he Isher added.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while speaking on the occasion said that Aryans has entered into its 10th academic session & has majority of students from remote areas. Kataria said that Institutions should try to train future workers to help States economies and to offer liberal education so as to produce informed citizens who can contribute to our democratic way of life.

Mr. Awais Amber, Chairman, Rosemine Education & Charitable Trust while speaking said that every sovereign, independent state must train, sustain and nurture men and women to serve in its security and intelligence outfits. Education is the only mean that frees the minds of its recipients from their preconceptions. It broadens the possibilities for greater understanding of others in our nation and around the world.
