Hundreds of Students Appeared for Interviews at Aryans for 22 Seats Under Kiran Bedi Initiative

Dr.Kiran Bedi, India’s first and highest ranked woman IPS officer visited Aryans campus on 26th July to interview the candidates for the selection of needy & deserving in MBA & BBA course (11 seats each). A large number of applications were received from the students of different parts of India. These students include not only from Punjab and Chandigarh but also from Haryana, HP, and UP. During the selection process, different parameters like Merit, Means, Parents socio economic status, Background of the candidate, Achievements were taken into consideration.

The selected students would be financially supported by Aryans Group of Colleges for their entire education that includes not only the tuition fees but expenses on uniforms, books etc.

While addressing the students, Dr. Kiran Bedi said that if the will to study is there, then financial constraints cannot become a hurdle. She further added that if one is determined, then resources would automatically follow. In order to be successful in life, one must be ready to face challenges.

During this occasion, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that “We feel very lucky and privileged to be a part of efforts initiated by Dr.Kiran Bedi and her team. We are extremely happy that needy students are being supported through this programme.”

It is to be mentioned that recently Dr.Kiran Bedi visited Chandigarh and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC). The selected candidates would study at Aryans campus located at Vill. Nepra, Chd-Patiala highway, Teh Rajpura.

Ravinder Vikram & Ms.Sonia Sharma declared as Mr. & Ms.ABS

Mr.Ravinder Vikram & Ms.Sonia Sharma were declared as Mr. & Ms.ABS respectively in a Farewell Party which was arranged in the premises of Aryans Business School by the students of the MBA-1st year for students of MBA-2nd year.  The function was presided over by Dr.Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Business School.

1st-year Students gave brilliant performances and enthralled the audience. Dance and Modeling were the main attractions of the day. Modeling on the ramp, performed by the outgoing students was appreciated and applauded by all.

Dr.Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Business School gave his blessings to the students and wished them good luck.  Moreover, he emphasized upon ‘Work is Worship’ and encouraged the students to burn their midnight oil and leave no stone unturned to come out with flying colors in their future life.

The curtain of the function was let down by dance and music. On the note of music, students danced in a hilarious mood and rocked the stage. Everyone was witnessed having fun. Obviously, it was a memorable event for the outgoing students of Aryans Business School.

Aryans Business School Becomes 1st in the Region to Get US’s GMAC nod for Using GMAT Score

US-based Graduate Management Admission Council i.e. GMAC has approved Chandigarh based Aryans Business School (ABS) to use Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score. ABS has become 1st private B-school in the Chandigarh region and 31st in the country to get the nod from GMAC to become the part of one of the biggest MBA entrance exam around the world i.e. GMAT.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, while addressing a press conference in hotel Shivalik View said that it is a big milestone in the direction of becoming one of the best B-School of the region. We are already registered as a Non-IIM member to use the CAT-2009 score and now with GMAC approval, we can use GMAT scores also. Kataria added that this development would help in bringing quality students in Aryans campus.

It is to be mentioned that Aryans Group of Colleges is being run by UBS, PU alumnus Dr.Anshu Kataria. In a short span of 3 years, the group has emerged as one of the best upcoming Institute. In the region, Aryans is the only institute which is being run by the educationalist family. The Aryans Campus is situated at Vill.Nepra, Chandigarh-Patiala highway, Near Chandigarh.

Dr.Kataria said that with the permission to use CAT and GMAT score, the students of Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, HP and J&K would have the choice to choose CAT and GMAT affiliated B-School in Chandigarh region itself and they need not to go to Mumbai, Calcutta, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Pune etc. she added that in above states none of the private B-School has this Honour.

Dr.Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group said that with GMAT, Aryans would get a platform to exhibit its talent and leadership in the education world. On one hand, existing students would get benefit in placements and on the other hand, Aryans would get an opportunity to tap the international market.

Dr.Manjit Kalra,Director said more than 4,650 programs, offered by more than 1,900 institutions in 81 countries, use the GMAT as part of the selection criteria for their programs. World famous Harvard, Boston, Kellogg etc and India’s top Business Schools including IIMs, ISB etc have the privilege of using GMAT score for admissions.

More than 2.65 lakh management aspirants appeared for GMAT across the world in 2009, over 8% of them were from India. There has been a steady rise in the number of Indian MBA aspirants taking the test. With GMAC setting up base in India, it will mean GMAT aspirants can expect better facilities. International Women’s Day Celebrated at Aryans Business School

To potray the power of women in the corporate world, Aryans Business School For Women- an exclusive women business school, today celebrated International Women’s Day at the college campus in Vill Nepra, Chd-Patiala highway, near Chandigarh. Faculty members of Aryans Group gave presentations on biographies of various business leaders like Indra Nooyi(Pepsi Co.); Chanda Kochar(ICICI Bank); Niana Lal Kidwani(HSBC India); Kiran Mazumdar Shaw(Biocon); Shahnaz Hussain (Beauty Expert); Vinita Bali (Britannia) etc.

Dr. (Mrs.) Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group while addressing the audience said that it’s not only the men who can excel in the business world, the above names are a live example in history which proves that if given a chance women can perform far better than men. She emphasized that the girl students of this college should learn from these great personalities and adopt them as their role models so that they can achieve great heights.

Aryans Business School MBA Studrns Visited Coca Cola

The MBA students of Chandigarh based Aryans Business School (ABS) organized Industrial Visit to COCA COLA Plant, Kandhari Beverages Pvt Ltd, Nabipur; Fatehgarh Sahib. The students visited various sub plants including Water Purification Plant, Mixture Plant, Bottle Manufacture Plant, Bottle Verification Plant and Syrup Plant.

The purpose of the visit was to make students aware of the various practical aspects of manufacturing industry. Mr.Jagmohan Singh, Quality Assistant and Mr. Gursewak Singh, Assistant Manager, interacted with the students and gave an in-depth insight of the various manufacturing concepts.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, ABS said that such industrial visits would enhance the practical knowledge about management. The various management concepts being taught in the classrooms get clarified after experiencing them physically in the industry itself. He added that such visits would continue to be there for MBA students so that they can learn the concepts with a better approach. It provides a unique opportunity for students to gain an insight into a working environment related to a subject area.
