To spread the awareness among the local farmers about the burning of Stubble in the Rice fields, NSS Volunteers of LL.B, BA-LL.B, BA, B.Com, B.Ed, MA(Edu), B.Sc (Agri) etc of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized an awareness rally in the surrounding Villages Nepra, Thuha, Alampur.
The rally was organized under the joint initiative of Punjab Pollution Control Board and Punjabi University, Patiala to spread the awareness among the local residents and College students not to burn Stubble but to procure it so to control Air Pollution.
Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, Principal, Aryans Degree College while speaking said that the Stubble in the rice fields can be useful to increase the productivity of the land as it helps to save the useful soil bacteria in the land.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that thousands of fresher candidates of the tricity & other peripheral areas have already stepped into the Job Market this Year after their graduation & post graduation. Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized Visits for the students of Agriculture & Pharmacy Department. Students of B.Sc (Agriculture) & Diploma (Agriculture) visited Punjab Forest Department while B. Pharmacy & D. Pharmacy students visited Insif India, Ambala.
The motive of the visits was to give exposure to the students of Field and Industry both to familiarize them with the machines, tools, instruments and the working environment of the areas.
Pharmacy students learnt about working of various lab instruments such as pH meter, conductivity meter, colony counter, tablet making & coating machine and other apparatus and machines used in manufacturing and testing of medicines.
Students of Agriculture department interacted with Sh. Amrik Singh Bhullar, Forest Project Officer & Sh. Pawan Kumar sir, Forest Range Officer on causes and measures for declining forest rate recovery measures.
Students studied the preparation of Vermi Compost made with the help of Earth worms, set up of nurseries, working of Haryali App which is giving free plants and trees to the people of Punjab so that forest area could be increased.
Senior Supreme Court Advocate & Rajya Sabha Member, Sh. KTS Tulsi applauded the students of Aryans College of Law and Aryans College of Engineering for their joint project “eMunshi- Advocate Diary” App which would be very helpful for the lawyers, Munshi’s etc to keep the record of their Court Dates.
The function was organized by Chandigarh Management Association (CMA). Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group were also present on the function wherein Tulsi interacted with the students & Staff of Aryans Group and congratulated them for their joint venture.
It is to be mentioned that Sh KTS Tulsi is an Indian politician and a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India. He has represented many notable people in various cases.In February 2014, Tulsi was nominated as a member of Rajya Sabha of Parliament of India by the President of India.
As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan, Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh and Grecian Superspeciality Hospital, Mohali organized a free Medical Health Check up Camp for its students and people of surrounding villages at its Campus under the leadership of Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group.
4 Health specialists including Dr. Vishal Gupta, Consultant Orthopedics & Joint Replacement; Dr. Munish Mahajan, Laparoscopic Surgeon; Dr. Vinod Bishnoi, Consultant Critical Care Medicine; Dr. Amardeep, Ophthalmologist successfully conducted this Camp.
The team conducted free test of blood sugar, Blood Pressure, weight, ECG, Eye Sight test etc of the local residents and the students. Necessary medical advice and precautionary measures were given by the doctors.
Over 100 participants were assessed, advised and counseled by the doctors. Large number of people who were part of the camp included Middle aged individuals who were having basic fitness issues related to cardiovascular and musculoskeletal system like knee, back & neck pain were also provided with certain precautions.
Prof. B.S Sidhu thanked the team of doctors for conducting this camp and giving counseling to the students and localized people of Villages about various problems and daily health care measures to be taken by an individual.
