Kashmiri Singer Ishfaq Kawa honoured by Aryans Group at Srinagar

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh honoured Renowned Kashmiri Singer Ishfaq Kawa along with his Kashmiri band “Rooh” in a function organized by Aryans Group in Srinagar.

Ishfaq Kawa along with band “Rooh” has recently performed in Aryans 12th Cultural Extravaganza “Roshaan” held at Aryans Campus. Ishfaq Kawa not only mesmerized the students of Aryans but also motivated the JK Students for good academic results, extracurricular activities etc

While speaking on the occasion, Ishfaq Kawa thanked Aryans for giving a platform to perform in the campus having majority of JK Students which gives the reflection of the mini Kashmir.

Ishfaq Kawa further said that on the demand of Aryans Kashmiri students and Staff, soon the Rooh Band in association with Aryans Group would launch a new musical project to rejuvenate the JK Students with academics, sports, innovations, cultural activities etc.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while speaking said that earlier to this also on the demand of Aryans JK students, Kashmiri Mimicry artist Anwar Kasana has also enthralled Aryans students with his mimicry skills.

Kataria further said that because of its peaceful environment, Aryans has become the 1st choice of JK students near Chandigarh. Around 2000 students from various parts of JK are already studying at Aryans.  

JK students have achieved many milestones in the field of academics, sports, cultural, innovations etc. In Academics, these students have won laurels for the Group by securing top positions in PTU Merit list. Aryans JK students have developed  “Aryans Android App” in lieu to make campuses paper free, “Aryans Save Kashmir App” which was developed for the rescue operation at the time of floods in Kashmir, “ Aryans Life Saving Glove” developed to provide timely assistance to the people prone to the risk of cardiac disease, “Aryans Safety Helmet” to provide timely first aid facility in case disaster happens at construction/ mining/ industrial sites; “Ramadhan App to solve the problem of Muslim community during Ramadhan for their fasting, E-munshi app to remind for the Court dates etc  were launched and applauded at various Government Levels and gained interest of many people.

To support financially weaker sections of the society Aryans has started many scholarship schemes. The group is admitting students under Dr. Kiran Bedi Scholarship scheme, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme, Late Sh. M.R Kataria Memorial Scholarship, Roshaan Scholarship Scheme etc.

Brand Ambassadors of Aryans declared by the Group

On the basis of participation and yearly performance in various fields like academics, Exam Results, Cultural activities, Innovations, sports etc Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh declared its Brand ambassadors of the 2018-19 session.

The group of around 30 top students of Aryans College of Engineering, Aryans Business School, Aryans Institute of Management & Technology, Aryans College of Education, Aryans Institute of Nursing, Aryans Degree College, Aryans College of Law & Aryans Pharmacy College who have excelled in various fields and who have represented Aryans on various social platforms were recognized and honoured in the function being organized by Aryans at its Campus.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while felicitating the students congratulated them for their achievements.  He said that these identified talented young students would help to motivate other students for bringing an instrumental change in their overall performance.

Kataria further added that apart from the academics, Aryans always tries to inculcate leadership, extra-curricular, entrepreneurship skills into its students to make them viable and fit for the growing industrial and professional demand.

Nursing Diploma (GNM) is likely to phase out by the year 2022

If it happens then 12th Arts & Commerce students may not be able to do GNM Course

12th Arts and Commerce students now may not get the chance to do 3 years Nursing course i.e General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) as The Union Health Ministry may likely to roll back this three years Nursing diploma course by the year 2022 to raise the standard of nursing qualifications. The decision has gotpolarized opinion since the course produces about 1.2 lakh nurses a year and this decision could lead to a shortage of nurses, especially in the least developed states.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh said that we have 40 seats in GNM and 20 seats in ANM Course. This year the number of applicants for GNM Course has increased 4 times because of the chances of closure of GNM Course for 12th Arts students.

The GNM course is a three-year diploma which is open for non science backgrounds while B.Sc nursing is a four-year course with eligibility as 12th pass in science. Currently, on the Indian Nursing Council (INC) website, in India there are 2,902 GNM nursing schools. According to a recent notification of March 14 by the Council, the last admission for GNM courses will be done in 2020.

Kataria further added that if this happens then most of the 12th pass students of Non science background would not be able pursue GNM. Most of these students migrate to other countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc after GNM Course and get very good remuneration in these Countries.

Engineering students of Aryans shine in University results

Engineering students of Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh brought laurels to the college by giving 100% result in the final examinations conducted by IKG-PTU, Jalandhar and MRS-PTU, Bathinda.

In B.Tech 1st Year- 1st position was bagged by Karan (Civil) with 7.64 SGPA, 2nd position by Tarun Kumar (Civil) with 7.47 SGPA; In Mechanical 2nd year, 1st the position was bagged by Bilal Ahmad Shah with 8.46 SGPA, 2nd position by Danish Safi with 8.35 SGPA; in Mechanical 3rd Year- 1st position was bagged by Tanya Priya with 84.7%, 2nd position by Uniq with 75.5%, in CSE 2nd Year- 1st the position was bagged by Jyoti Yadav with 7.61 SGPA, in CSE 3rd Year- 1st the position was bagged by – Deepawali with 8.52, 2nd position by Bishma Parveen with 8.43 SGPA; in B.Tech CSE 4th Year- 1st position was bagged by Krushna Bagh and Nitu Kumari Shukla with 85.05%; in CE 2nd Year – 1st position was bagged by Muskaan with 8.48 SGPA, 2nd Position by Sandeep Bhandari with 8.38 SGPA; in Civil 3rd year 1st position was bagged by Umair Ayoub with 8.61 SGPA, 2nd Position by Ayoub Raina with 8.57 SGPA; in CE 4th Year- 1st the position was bagged by Vandana Kumari with 78.7%, 2nd position by Irshad Hassan with 77.05%.

Fire Safety week observed at Aryans Group of Colleges

To educate and train the students for unforeseen emergency fire situations, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh with the help of Rajpura Fire Station conducted a mock exercise and evacuation fire safety drill as a part of Fire Safety Week.

S. Rajpal Singh, Fire Station Officer, Rajpura; Sh. Malkit Gir, Sub Fire Officer, Rajpura along with the other team members carried out a demonstration of using fire safety equipments to sensitize the students and staff about life saving and rescue techniques in case of fire. Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group was also present.

The objective of the exercise was to create awareness among the students and staff of fire -fighting techniques and the ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergency situations. Mock safety drills and safety procedures to be adopted were also explained to the students and staff members.
