‘MBA most popular Degree all over the world as well as in India, the demand for MBAs is increasing. But there are around 1100 B-Schools in India which are producing around 70,000 MBA graduates a year. This number is still less as compared to the job opportunities available in the market.’
This is said by All India Management Association (AIMA),CMS, Director Wg. Cdr. V.S. Bejoy (Retd.) during his inaugural address of “MBA FEST” organized by Aryans Business School (ABS) at Hotel Shivalik View, Sector-17, Chandigarh. Around 637 students from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and J&K participated in this fest.
Various management experts including Mr. Hirdesh Madan, (Head-North, Bulls Eye); Prof. S.P.Singh,(former chairman,UBS, Chandigarh); Dr. K.K. Mangla,( former chairman, Chandigarh); Mr. Sunil Kumar (Alumnus, IIM, Ahmedabad); Dr. S.V. Malhotra,(Ex-H.P.U, Shimla) and Dr. Parveen Kataria (Gold medalist, UBS) gave an advice to the students for the various things which are to be done before , during and after MBA.
A very nice illustrative presentation on Top 10 Indian B-Schools, Top 10 International B-Schools, types of entrance tests like CAT,MAT,XAT etc, specified websites for MBA, Indian and international Accreditation Agencies, eligibility criteria, fee structure etc. was shown by ABS faculty to the participants.
Mr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman ABS said that the days have long gone when an honors degree from a good university could guarantee you the job you want. Master of Business Administration or MBA as we know it has become the world’s leading, and most popular, business qualification. It is a generalist qualification designed to equip students with an understanding of all the major functions of a business. In some industries, the MBA is now not so much a desirable attribute, but an essential qualification.
