To cheer up team India, Cricketer Yograj Singh visits Aryans Campus

To cheer up the team India for the semi-final match to be played between India and West Indies on 31st March, renowned Actor and Cricketer Yograj Singh today visited Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh and interacted with the students. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group was also present on the occasion.

To cheer up team India, Cricketer Yograj Singh visits Aryans CampusOn this occasion Students, Staff and Management of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh gave a warm welcome to Yograj Singh and organized a colorful program at its campus in which students performed Bhangra and Giddha and made Yograj Singh and audience to tap on the beats of Dhol and Bhangra.

While talking to the students about the semi-final match to be played between India and West Indies, Yograj said that with West Indies, Chris Gayle is the only player who is performing its best and making efforts while in Indian Cricket Team all the players are doing their best efforts in all the fields to make India win this WT20 match.

While answering the questions of the students on Anushka he said, “She is also the daughter of someone and we should respect the women as a whole”. He interacted with the students of Aryans Cricket Team, gave them cricket Mantra’s and motivated them to emerge as big players.

Talking about Yuvraj’s injury he said that he has fought with a big disease like cancer and this minor injury won’t stop him to play cricket. Soon he will get well and come back with his old passion again in the team.

9th Athletic meet held at Aryans Campus

9th Athletic Meet was held at Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. Over 2500 Students of various courses like MBA, B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, BA, B.Com, GNM & Polytechnic participated in this Athletic Meet. SDM Rajpura Vikarmjit Singh Shergill was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

9th Athletic meet held at Aryans CampusThe whole event was divided into three parts- Indoor Games, Outdoor Games and Fun Games. The Outdoor Games included 100m and 200m Races, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Long Jump, Javelin Throw, Relay Race, Discuss Throw, Shot put etc. The Indoor Games included Table Tennis, Chess, Carom Board and Badminton. The Fun Games included 3 Legged Race, Tug of War, Sack Race, Eating Noodles, Finding Balls in Mud, Dog and the Bone, Balloon Stomp and Catch the Tail of the Dragon.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman Aryans Group of colleges distributed the prizes to the winners and congratulated them. Speaking on this occasion, he said that sports contribute an important role in the development of overall personality of a student. Citing the example of various eminent sports personalities, she encouraged the students to adopt sports as a profession too.

Chess-1st –Sohail Yusuf (B.Tech), Carom board (Boys)- 1st –Sayed Moh Saleem(MBA 2) and Ishfaq Mohidin(BBA 6). Carom board (Girls)-  1st- Fahar Ul Nisa (CE 6)and Aliya Malik(CE5) , Race 100 meters boys;Aman Kumar (ME 6) 1st, Race 100 meters girls; Priya Chowdhary (ECE 6) 1st. Race 200 meters boys; Aman Kumar (ME 6)1st. Bilal team was the winner in football. Punjab tiger was the winner in kabbadi. Team 66 was the winner in volleyball. Long jump Roshan Minaz (MBA 3) was the winner. Jewlin throw winner Neeraj (GNM 1), Badminton single winner Sharuf. Disucss throw Roshan Minaz (ME 4) winner. Shotput Peerjada Shayub (Civil 5) was the winner. In fun games, Peerazada Adil (CE 6)was the winner in boys lemon race. Prachi was the winner in girls lemon race. Eating noodles boys; Wasim and Peerjada were winners and Sunita was winner in girls. In 3-Leg Race Boys Mausim (CE 4) and Muzmil (CE6) was winner.

Aryans Group & SHRS jointly organizes the race for special children

Over thousands of people including special children participated in special races organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh in association with Safe Hands Rehabilitation Society (SHRS) at Sukhna Lake today. Dr. H.K. Bali, Renowned Cardiologist, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest on the occasion; Ms. Neelu Sarin, Area Director Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh was the Guest of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event. President, SHRS, Mr. Bikramjeet Singh was also present on the occasion.

Ananya Bansal & Kulwinder wins in special races for special ChildrenDr. H.K Bali flagged off the marathon of 100 Metres for special children. While speaking on the occasion Dr. Bali cheered and motivated the Children not to get discouraged in their life due to one or other disability as it is god gifted and one can do wonders in life if directed rightly.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges while speaking on the occasion said that the purpose of the race was to bring out better outcomes for children with special needs. He further said that the race would give a chance to extend sportsman spirit of specially-abled children and the common population who has participated in the race.

Ms. Neelu Sarin further added that the race for special children has given an opportunity to display their talent and receive accolades for their efforts. It has enabled the special children to feel accepted and appreciated. It has helped in making them feel that they are also a part of society and they are unique in their own way.

Mr. Bikramjeet Singh, President, SHRS said that the society is working for the special children providing them every facility including education, medical treatment and organizing various such activities to uplift these students. Since last 3 years around 10,000 special Children were given free medical treatment by the society.

Ms Nancy, Anisha, Simran, Raja, Monty, M.D Sharif, Suraj Kumar, Manpreet, Razat, Vinay, Sonia, Vishali, Anjali, Gurpreet, Deepak Negi, Ramesh, Amit, Sandeep, Ashish, Arpita Saini, Kajal, Tannu Shri, Kanika, Kajal, Smriti were among the other winners for 10.5km, 4km, 2.5km and 100 mts.

Special Races for Special Children on Sunday at Sukhna Lake

Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh in association with Safe Hands Rehabilitation Society (SHRS) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan is organizing special races for the special Children with special needs of the Society on 8th November at Sukhna Lake so that they can also become an important part of the social mainstream. On this occasion, Renowned Pollywood Star Nav Bajwa and Rana Ranbir would perform.

Special Races for special children on Sunday at Sukhna LakeThousands of people from Tri-City, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana etc are expected to participate in this race. The information was given today by Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while launching the poster of the marathon in a press conference at Press club, Sector-27, Chandigarh.

The marathon would start from Sukhna Lake; Chandigarh at 8am. It has been categorized into different parts including Special Children Race-100 Metres, Mini Marathon-10.5 Km, Junior Race-4 Km and Fun Race for all-2.5 Km

Dr. Kataria while giving more details said that the race for special children would give an opportunity to display their talent and receive accolades for their efforts. It would enable the special children to feel accepted and appreciated.

Ms Neelu Sarin, Area Director Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh speaking on the occasion said that the objective of the race is to bring together certain distinctive personalities from Punjabi Entertainment Industry and U.T Administration to facilitate the programme and by their mere presence extend their support to sportsman spirit of specially-abled children and the common population who is participating in the race.

Mr. Bikramjeet Singh, President, SHRS while speaking on the occasion said that a total cash prize of Rs 31,000 would be distributed among the winners.

“Aryans Royal Rebels” emerges as Champion of “Aryans Cricket Premier League”

“Aryans Royal Rebels” became Champions after winning “Aryans Cricket Premier League” organized by the students of Aryans Group of Colleges at Aryans Campus. The team defeated “Aryans XI” in Finals for Trophy. The B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Ed, GNM, Polytechnic students of Aryans participated in the League.

Aryans Royal Rebels emerges as Champion of “Aryans Cricket Premier League”Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts made by the students in a special Prize Distribution Ceremony held at the closing of Matches. The ceremony was held to honour the winning players and Organizers of the League. Maqbool Hussain was declared as Man of Series as well as Best Bowler. Mir Nadeem was declared as Best Batsman and Best Fielder.

A total of 9 teams participated in the League consisting students from different colleges of Aryans Group i.e Aryans Business School, Aryans College of Engineering, Aryans College of Education, Aryans Institute of Management and Technology, Aryans Degree College, Aryans Institute of Nursing. The 9 teams participated were Aryans XI, Royal Cricket Club, Royal Rebels, Avengers, Thundering Shadow, Kashmir Lions XI, Mumbai Rises XI, Mirz XI, Royal Kings.

Speaking on the occasion, the Captain of the winning team Gagandeep Singh said that it was definitely all about the team. He added that all the players especially the bowlers played really well due to which they won the Championship. Giving details about the final match, he told that they won the toss and chose to bat first and made 78 runs. The defeating team was all out at the score of 46.
