Himachali Students Shine in Aryans Cultural Extravaganza “Rajni”

Aryans Himachali Students shine in 9th Cultural Extravaganza “Rajni” organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. Sh. Madan Mohan Mittal, Minister, Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab was the Chief Guest on the occasion.  Sh. Sanjay Tandon, President, BJP, and Sh. Deepak Dhiman, State Editor, Dainik Bhaskar Group were the Guests of Honour on the occasion while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.

Himachali Students Shine in Aryans Cultural ExtravaganzaStudents of B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, BA, B.Com, GNM, Polytechnic Diploma students participated in the colorful cultural items and mesmerized the whole crowd with their performances. Renowned Comedian, Amritpal Singh(Chotu) impressed and enthralled the audience with his comedy style.

The function commenced with the Lamp Lighting ceremony by the Aryans Group patrons Prof. Roshan Lal Kataria and Mrs. Rajni Kataria followed by Devotional Shiv Tandav by Himanshu & group. Students of Himachal Pradesh namely Sonali, Devinder, Hitender, Mritunjay performed Naati, which is a very prominent dance form of Kullu District Chamba folk dance, and much more. Students were dressed up in their traditional dresses. Many Folk songs were also sung by the students.

Dr. Anshu Kataria speaking on the occasion said that Aryans Group has students from all over India who are studying in various courses. The students presented their respective cultures through their dances in the function. He added that besides studies, extra co-curricular activities are equally important. They help in the overall development of the students.

It is to be mentioned that various cultural activities performed by students like Bhangra by Gaganpreet and group, Dark monster dance by Parveen and Nariya. Hip Hop dance by Dharma and group brought the audience onto their heels. Gidda by Lovpreet and Group was the centre of attraction. Save Girls Skit by Manpreet and group delivered  right message to the audience.

Showing the cultures of different states, Naati performed by Mritunjay and group while Nausheen and group presented Kashmiri Dance. Shubham and group performed Kashmiri Dance, Rupika and group performed Haryanvi Dance, Bhojpuri dance by Md Shahzad.Jhumar Folk dance by Sukhi and group while Mast Punjaban Girls performed by Manpreet and group and string dance performed by Sayed Ali and group.

Also, present on the occasion were Dr. (Mrs.) Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group; Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education; Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group; Prof. A.P Jain, Director, Aryans Group and many others.

The JK students of Aryans Group of Colleges organized 9th Annual Cultural Extravaganza “Rajni”. Sh. “Iftar” Party Organized by JK Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh in Srinagar

Hundreds of Aryans Kashmiri students participated in the Iftar

Srinagar 15 July

The JK Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organised “ Iftar ” party at Dargah Sharif, Hazratbal, Srinagar to celebrate Ramadan. Hundreds of B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA and Polytechnic Diploma students of Aryans Group gathered at the venue. The students distributed free Iftar boxes containing dates, Bananas, and juice to the people on the occasion helping them break their fast. Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group was also present on the occasion to encourage the students.

“Iftar” Party Organized by JK Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh in SrinagarWhile talking on the occasion, Prof. B.S Sidhu said that majority of students studying in Aryans Group of Colleges are from the valley. He added that earlier also, the JK students of Aryans celebrated Eid Ul Fitr in a full swing with staff and management at Aryans campus situated at Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh.

Sidhu further said that students namely Bilal Ahmed Dar, Hanan Bashir, Sajid, Basit Bashir etc took the lead in organizing the Iftaar and actively participated in it.

It is to be mentioned that Iftar is the meal eaten by Muslims to break their fast after sunset every day during Ramadan. While fasting, they eat in the morning before sunrise and then don’t eat all day until the sun sets. It is very important to break fast at the one particular time that the calendar says. Many Muslims believe that feeding someone iftar as a form of charity is very rewarding.

It is to be mentioned that Aryans is becoming the first choice of JK Students in North India. Around 1000 students from various parts of JK are already studying in Aryans under different courses. These students have achieved many milestones in the field of academics, sports, cultural, innovations etc. In Academics, these students have won laurels for the Group by securing top positions in PTU Merit list.

It is worth mentioning that Aryans Group has been awarded for “Excellence in Education” by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President; Sh. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab; Sh. Shivraj V Patil, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh; Dr. Kiran Bedi, First Women IPS Officer of India; S. Joginder Singh, Ex-Director, CBI etc. The Group has also been honoured for “Excellence in career building” by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, India.

It is to be mentioned that Established in 2007, Aryans campus is located at Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh on lush green 20 acres pollution free campus. The group is running Management College, Degree College, Engineering College, Nursing College, Education College & Junior Science College (+1 & +2 Non-Medical).

Baisakhi celebrations at Aryans Degree College

Aryans Degree College, Nepra, Rajpura celebrated Baisakhi with great fervour and gaiety and apprised the youngsters about rich culture and heritage of Baisakhi merriments. The college premises were aptly decorated depicting the harvest season.

Baisakhi celebrations at Aryans Degree CollegeStudents were explained about the importance of this festival by showcasing a Punjabi village scene and were shown various aspects of rural Punjab by showing the sowing, ploughing, harvesting, winnowing and gathering of crop etc. Vibrant and exhilarating folk dance Giddha and Bhangra was performed at the moment in the fields by the students .Dhol beats and Punjabi folk music added to their excitement to the moment. It was a treat to see the children dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional outfits.

To mark the authenticity of the occasion students shared sweets with each other. Speaking on the occasion Chairman Anshu Kataria said that Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day as on this very day Shri Guru Gobind Singh had established the ‘Khalsa Panth’.

Around 10 renowned Punjabi singers gave their live performance in Aryans 8th Annual Cultural Extravaganza “Roshaan”. The event was organised at Inderdhanush Auditorium, Sec-5, Panchkula. More than thousands students participated and mesmerized the whole crowd with their performances.

Around 10 Renowned Punjabi singers give live performance in Aryans 8th Cultural Extravaganza “Roshaan”Roshan Prince, Kulwinder Billa, Gurkirpal Surapuri, Prince Kamaljeet, Maninder Buttar, Dilpreet Dhillon, Harinder Bhullar, Mr. Sukhbir Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Simran Sahajpal, Arsh Benipal, Harsimran, Karamjeet Anmol, Aman Dhaliwal etc gave their power packed performance and made the audience hummed to the music.

Sh M K Sharma, GM, Dena Bank was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The function commenced with the Lamp lighting ceremony by D.C. Kataria “Roshaan” and Mrs. Rajni Kataria.

While encouraging the students Chief Guest Sharma said that such events are necessary in the professional institutions as they instil confidence and sense of responsibility in the students. Cultural activities reduce the stress of the students, he added.

The star cast of the upcoming Punjabi movies “Leather Life”, and “Jatt the Farmer” also enthralled the audience with their live performance. The screening of the movie “Leather Life” was also done which was appraised by thousands of the audience.

Various cultural attractions such as western dance, Bollywood dance, break dance, fusion, comedy dance, mime, Himachali natti, folk dance, solo dance were organized at the moment. Bhangra and gidda was central attraction which brought the audience to their toes.

Dr. Anshu Kataria speaking on the occasion said, “I am extremely happy that the enthusiasm and the hard work put in by the students have resulted in such a magnificent show.” He further added that students have shown their cultures and represented their diversity through their dances.
