Aryans Techno-Cultural Fest kick starts today at Aryans Campus

3-days Youth Festival of Punjabi University, Patiala-Fatehgarh zone having around 4000 students of 44 participating Colleges falling under Fatehgarh Zone along with today started at Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. Dr. M.P. Poonia, Director, NITTR was the Chief Guest; Dean, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Kulbir Singh Dhillon was the Guest of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.

On the other hand over 1000 students, farm25ers, academicians, researchers, professionals etc. visited “Aryans Tech Fest”. Solar Fest, Science Fest, Industrial Training Fest, Robo Fest, Agro Fest, IT Fest etc. were the main attraction of this fest.

Dr. M.P. Poonia while appreciating the efforts made by Aryans in hosting the Golden Jubilee of this fest at its campus. He welcomed and appraised the participating students from distant colleges for showcasing their talents in various activities.

Kulbir Singh Dhillon while speaking on the ocassion said that such festivals prove helpful in the development of language, literature & culture and give a hilarious boost to student activities. The event provided a platform for the students to showcase their talent and share their knowledge in various cultural, technical and educational fields.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, said The Festival is a unique platform for young talent and a celebration of youthful creativity and innovation. Kataria added, such festivals build self-esteem and confidence of the youth. Their creativity is developed and honed in these competitions.

Baisakhi celebrations at Aryans Degree College

Mohali 10 April

Aryans Degree College, Chandigarh celebrated Baisakhi with great fervour and gaiety and apprised the youngsters about rich culture and heritage of Baisakhi merriments. The rural students of nearby villages actively participated in various activities organised in nearby fields. Students were explained about the importance of this festival by showcasing a Punjabi village scene and were shown various aspects of rural Punjab by showing the sowing, ploughing, harvesting, winnowing and gathering of crop etc. Vibrant and exhilarating folk dance Giddha and Bhangra was performed at the moment in the fields by the students .Dhol beats and Punjabi folk music added to their excitement to the moment. It was a treat to see the children dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional outfits.

To mark the authenticity of the occasion students shared sweets with each other. Speaking on the occasion Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group of Colleges said that Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day as on this very day Shri Guru Gobind Singh had established the ‘Khalsa Panth’.

Basant Panchmi Celebrated at Aryans Group of Colleges

Basant Panchmi was celebrated at Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh today at the college campus. The festival was celebrated with full vivacity and festivity to mark the end of the winters. The members of the institute decorated the campus with yellow rangoli. Staff and Students wore yellow cloth and Yellow rice a dish specific to the occasion was also distributed among all present. The students showcased the vibrant tradition of Punjab depicting the spirit of inner freedom, creative pride and zest for life. The function was presided over by Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group.

Basant Panchmi Celebrated at Aryans GroupIt is to be mentioned here that 5th day of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Magh is the day of Basant Panchmi. This Panchmi is also known as Saraswati Day as it is believed that this day is Saraswati’s birthday. The yellow color is given special importance on this day. Sweetmeats of yellowish hues are exchanged with relatives and friends.

Nitu Shukla bags “Ms. Aryans” and Manish Bags “Mr. Aryans” title in Aryans Fresher’s Party

To end the boredom and routine work of classroom environment, Aryans Group of Colleges organized a Modeling competition in the college campus situated on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, near Chandigarh. Many students from B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, BA, B.Com, Polytechnic, and Nursing participated in the competition.

Nitu Shukla bagsDr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group congratulated all the winners of Mr. & Ms. Aryans contest. “Ms. Nitu shukla” was selected as “Ms. Aryans” and “Mr. Manish” was selected as “Mr. Aryans”, “Ms. Sonali Roy” was selected as “Best Walk”, “Ms. Wincy Mathew” was selected as “Best Dress”, “Ms. Samiksha” was selected as “Beautiful Smile”, “Mr. Khan Zahoor” was selected as “Best Personality” and in the last “Ms. Photogenic” was “Ms. Sonali Kasrija”.

Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group, congratulated all the winners and said that co-curricular activities provide recreations which are conducive to mental, emotional and moral health.

She further said that the Group would always welcome such gestures of the students and the Group would encourage the students to organize such events more frequently. Dr. Kataria further said that co-curricular activities help in harmonious development of students.

Aryans North East students shine in 9th Cultural Extravaganza “Rajni”

Guwahati 18 September
The North East students of Aryans Group of Colleges organized 9th Annual Cultural Extravaganza “Rajni”. Sh. Madan Mohan Mittal, Minister, Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Sh. Sanjay Tandon, President, BJP, and Sh. Deepak Dhiman, State Editor, Dainik Bhaskar Group were the Guests of Honour on the occasion while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event. Renowned Bollywood Singer Kamal Khan mesmerized the audience with his songs.

Aryans North East students shine in 9th Cultural ExtravaganzaStudents of B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, BA, B.Com, GNM, Polytechnic Diploma participated in the colorful cultural items and mesmerized the whole crowd with their performances. Renowned Comedian, Amritpal Singh (Chotu) has impressed and enthralled the audience with his comedy style.

The function commenced with the Lamp Lighting ceremony by the Aryans Group patrons Prof. Roshan Lal Kataria and Mrs. Rajni Kataria followed by Devotional Shiv Tandav by Himanshu & group. Students of Aryans Group presented a colorful Cultural Programme which included Kashmiri Dance , Bhangra, Giddha, Naati,Western dance, Dark Monster, Jhumar, Punjabi dance, Fusion, Act, Folk dance, solo song, solo dance etc.

Dr. Anshu Kataria speaking on the occasion said that Aryans Group has students from all over India who are studying in various courses. The students presented their respective cultures through their dances in the function. He added that besides studies, extra co-curricular activities are equally important. They help in the overall development of the students.

It is to be mentioned that various cultural activities performed by students like Bhangra by Gaganpreet and group, Dark monster dance by Parveen and Nariya. Hip Hop dance by Dharma and group brought the audience onto their heels. Gidda by Lovpreet and Group was the centre of attraction. Save Girls Skit by Manpreet and group delivered right message to the audience.

Showing the cultures of different states, Naati performed by Mritunjay and group while Nausheen and group presented Kashmiri Dance. Shubham and group performed Kashmiri Dance, Rupika and group performed Haryanvi Dance, Bhojpuri dance by Md Shahzad.Jhumar Folk dance by Sukhi and group while Mast Punjaban Girls performed by Manpreet and group and string dance performed by Sayed Ali and group.

Also, present on the occasion were Dr. (Mrs.) Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group; Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education; Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group; Prof. A.P Jain, Director, Aryans Group and many others.
