To promote “Edutainment” in the B-School and to make the students familiar with the practical aspects of management through movies, Aryans Business School (ABS) organized a “Movie Week” at the college campus. During this week, movies like “Corporate”, “Lagaan”,”Chak De! India”, “Iqbal”, “Swades”, “Guru”, “Lakshya”, and “Taare Zameen Par” etc. were screened. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) said that these films have been taken up as a case study through which management students would study various aspects of management which can help them to be good and effective leaders in the future.
Anshu Kataria added that these movies would help to understand concepts like strategy, motivation
, determination, ambition, time management, stress management, willpower, Resistance and change management, goal achievement, team management, role of seniors, focus, talent management, organizational goal versus individual goals, sacrifice and win, human capital management, business rivalry, inner driven leadership, delegation and empowerment, facing challenges, crisis management, balancing roles, mission accomplishment and killing instincts etc. He also stressed that the visual aids always have more impact on the young minds, so the students would effectively learn the management concepts from the films.
The students were given a brief preview before the screening of important extract of the movies. Around 300 students of ABS, Aryans School of Management (ASM) and Aryans Institute of Management & Technology (AIMT) participated in this event.
