Aryans MBA students shine in MRS-PTU Merit list

2 students of Aryans Business School (ABS), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh excelled in the merit list of Punjab under Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda & brought laurels for the College.

Students namely Pushpa Kondal D/o Sh. Piare Lal Kondal of Himachal Pradesh got 1st rank in MBA (Marketing & IT) by securing 74.53% while Syed Mohd Saleem S/o Syed Showkat Ahmed of Jammu & Kashmir got 3rd rank by securing 73.87% in MBA (HR & IT) exams conducted by the MRS-PTU in December 2016.

Ms Sukhaman Bath, Registrar, Aryans Group while congratulating the students gave the credit to the students, parents and faculty. Giving more information about the students she added that Pushpa Kondal secured 559 marks out of 750 while Syed Mohd secured 554 marks out of 750.

It is to be mentioned that Aryans Business School was started in the year 2007.  Aryans B- School was the 22nd Business School of all over the Country to get an international membership of AACSB (Association To Advance Collegiate School Of Business, USA). The group has also been ranked 48th among top private B-Schools of India by Dainik Bhaskar Group (Bhaskar Lakshya) in the year 2011.

Aryans Group organizes a seminar on Start up India, Stand up India

Chandigarh 8th September

Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organized a seminar on Start up India, Stand up India under the theme “Implementing Start up India, Stand up India in Technical Education: Challenges & Opportunities”.

Dr. M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE, New Delhi was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Sh. Vivek Atray, IAS(Retd), Author & Motivational Speaker; Dr. M.S Ghuge, Regional Officer, AICTE, Chandigarh; Mr. K.S Bhatia, Founder & CEO, Pumpkart; S. Charanjit Singh, Vice President, Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SAAC)  were the Guests of Honour on the occasion. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.

Poonia while speaking said that to support financially, AICTE has sanctioned 78 Crore in the academic session 2017-18 to the Govt & Private Colleges while in the academic session 2018-19 there’s possibility of sanctioning more money to these colleges. For its good work among top AICTE approved Colleges of the Chandigarh region, Aryans has also been given a grant of Rs 5 Lakhs for its Faculty Development Program (FDP).

Mr. Vivek Atray, IAS (Retd), Author & Motivator while speaking on the occasion said that senior functionaries of higher education in the state should ensure that each student passing out of the institutes are well-versed and employable & suggested that institutes should focus on job oriented subjects, entrepreneurship and avenues and resources related professions so the passed out students should be job providers and not just job seekers.

Mr. K.S Bhatia, CEO & Founder Pumpkart while speaking said that some Indian home grown ventures like Flipkart.com, MakeMyTrip, CashKaro, GetMyParking etc are giving head-to-head fight to the global giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook & Google. In the last surveys it has been found that people of North India region specially Punjab are keen to entrepreneurship and start ups.

Poonia further said that to bring more reforms in technical education in the country, Ministry is planning to make 20% education online and digital through SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds), MOOC (Massive open online course) etc. To enhance the entrepreneurship skills and start ups in rural areas & villages under its new scheme Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.

Punjabi University allots Fatehgarh Zone Youth Festival to Aryans

Punjabi University, Patiala to start it’s series of youth festival from Fatehgarh Zone Youth Festival which has been decided to be held at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh.

Dr. Gursewak Singh Lambi, Director, Youth Welfare Department, Punjabi University, Patiala while speaking said that series of Zonal Youth Festivals of Punjabi University, Patiala would start on 26-27-28 September from Aryans Degree College, Rajpura.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while thanking Punjabi University said that students, staff and Management of Aryans would fulfill this responsibility with full dedication.

Kataria further added that in this regards the 1st joint meeting of Fatehgarh Zone colleges has also been fixed for 7th September to be held at Aryans Campus to get an overview of the event.

Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, Principal, Aryans Degree College while giving more information said that in this 3 days long festival around 46 Colleges which falls under Fatehgarh Zone would participate in various activities.

Gupta further added that competitions including Giddha, Classical Dance, Folk Song, Orchestra, Gazal, Painting, Rangoli, Photography, Natak, Mimicry, Weston items, Poster making, Cartooning, Bhangra, Mime, Skits etc would be organized.

Limca Book Record holder Anand Kumar (Super 30) applauded Aryans initiative for Bihar students

Sh. Anand Kumar, renowned Mathematician & Super 30 Founder of Patna applauded Aryans initiative for Bihar students in the direction of helping needy and financially constraint students by admitting these students under scholarship.

Anand Kumar was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the 2nd Scholarship Mela of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh held at Patna. He distributed the scholarship letters to the needy & deserving students of Bihar.

Anand Kumar while speaking on the occasion said that I am happy to see this initiative of Aryans helping under privileged youth of the Bihar in pursuing their higher education. He further said that financial constraints shouldn’t be an obstacle in the higher education of a student. Students and educational institutions should possess a strong will power and should work hard in direction of education to strengthen the education system in India.

Out of 50, 10 students selected under LL.B, 10 under BA-LL.B, 10 under B.Sc (Agri), 10 under B.Ed and 10 under GNM and ANM courses.

Dr. Anshu Kataria while congratulating the selected students said that Aryans has always tried to give best to the society and the students. He said that in today’s world when higher education is out of reach of a common man then private institutions should come forward and identify such students who have marks but no means so that their dreams shouldn’t go dry due to their financial problem.

To provide quality education to its students Aryans has entered into many foreign collaborations and tie ups with foreign universities/colleges. This year the college has signed MoU with many renowned colleges of Vancouver, Singapore few of which are Sprott Shaw College, Six Capital, Loyalist College, Pearson Education Services etc.

It is to be mentioned that established in 2007, Aryans campus is located on Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh and has lush green 20 acres pollution free campus. Aryans Group has been serving the educational and intellectual interests of the youth in a commendable manner. The group is running Engineering College, Law College, Management College, Business School, Education College, Degree College, Nursing College and Junior Science College (+1 & +2 Non Medical).

It is worth mentioning that Aryans Group has been awarded for “Excellence in Education” by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President; Sh. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab; Sh. Shivraj V Patil, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh; Dr. Kiran Bedi, First Women IPS Officer of India; S. Joginder Singh, Ex-Director, CBI etc. The Group has also been honoured for “Excellence in career building” by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, India.

It is to be mentioned that Anand Kumar, best known for his Super 30 programme was born in Patna. He had secured a place at the Cambridge University but because of his financial condition, he could not take admission. He has been honoured by the British Columbia for his contribution in the field of education. For the last 14 years, Kumar has been tutoring students from underprivileged sections for IIT-JEE entrance examinations. He has been tutoring them free of cost. He has also been invited to talk at IIM Ahmedabad, British Columbia, Tokyo University, Stanford University and IITs

11th Academic Session of Aryans Group start with Bollywood Case Studies

11th Academic Session of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh started with the Bollywood Case Studies. The aim was to promote education through entertainment (edutainment) and to create the interest of the students in studies.

The session was attended by the 1st year students of B.Tech, LL.B, BA-LL.B, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc(Agri), B.Ed, MA(Edu), GNM, ANM, BA, Polytechnic etc.

In the session, “Chak De! India” in MBA,”3 Idiots” in B.Tech & “Taare Zameen Par” in B.Ed, “Jolly LL.B 2” in Law were the first chapters in Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. The other case studies which were discussed include “Rocket Singh”, “Iqbal”, and “Corporate”, “Lakshya” etc.

In the 11th academic session, the management along with other personalities interacted with the students and shared their experiences. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, Dr Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group, Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group; Ms Sukhaman Bath, Registrar, Aryans Group and Dr Raman Rani Gupta, Principal, Aryans College of Education are few of them.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that these types of case studies and lectures will help in generating their interest in studies. It will provide guidance not only for being an effective manager but also will guide how to excel in their respective areas and become a role model for others, Kataria added.
