Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh celebrated International Nurses day under the theme “Nurses A Voice to Lead – Health is a Human right” at Aryans Campus. GNM and ANM students of Aryans Institute of Nursing participated in the various activities organized on the occasion.
The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony. Students organized oath ceremony, Rangoli Competition, Cultural activities etc on the theme to mark the celebration and exhibit their responsibilities towards the society.
Nursing students while taking oath pledged to serve the society with their profession during their studies as well as after the completion of their course. The students also took oath to uphold the values of their Nursing profession.
Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group while speaking on the occasion said that nurses had a significant role in society and the profession of nursing was the noblest of all as it was entirely serving the humanity.
Ms Neha Thakur, HOD, Aryans Institute of Nursing highlighted the role of nurses how the pressure had been building on nurses as professionals and how they should cope with it. She said in the coming days there would be more challenges as the demand for better health and patient care is rising day by day
It is to be mentioned that Nurses day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing.
