Chandigarh Periphery gets another Nursing College

Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh has got approval to start Nursing College from 2012-13. This approval has been given by Indian Nursing Council (INC) to start GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) course with 40 seats in Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN). Before this, Punjab Govt. has already given NOC (No Objection Certificate) to Aryans Group to start GNM course vide Memo No.2/90/2011-4HB-III/954 on 28th January 2011.
Giving this information to media, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that after MBA College, Engineering College, BBA-BCA College, B.Ed College & Junior Science College, now Nursing College is another feather in the cap of Aryans. Dr. Kataria added that despite having over a hundred nursing schools and colleges, Punjab is facing an acute shortage of nursing staff in its hospitals, as most nurses tend to choose better pay packages abroad .In fact talking about the whole country there is a huge shortage of nurses of nearly one million. Keeping in mind the requirement of nurses across different fields of medicine, Aryans Group is diversifying in the medical stream and starting nursing college in 20-acre campus is in Village Nepra/Thuha, between Banur & Rajpura, Chandigarh –Patiala highway, near Chandigarh.
It is worth mentioning that after the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab Sh. Parkash Singh Badal & H.E. the Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh, Sh. Shivraj V Patil awarded Aryans Group of Colleges for Excellence in Education. Recently, His Excellency Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, former President, India has also awarded Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) for “Excellence in Education.
Earlier also, Aryans Business School (ABS) has been ranked 48th in India by Dainik Bhaskar. ABS has recently been awarded the Best Upcoming B-School of North India by the renowned Magazine “Business and Management Chronicle” and Dr. Kiran Bedi, 1st Woman IPS of India, has also awarded ABS as the Best upcoming B-School of North India.
To expose the students to international education standards, employment facilities and opportunities of education abroad Aryans Group have entered into a number of tie-ups / collaborations with foreign institutions such as Outline System (USA); LMSE (London); AUPP (Australia), Fontys University (Netherland) & ITB (Dublin).
