With a stern commitment to serve the nation, a 7 days National service scheme (NSS) camp has been inaugurated by Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education.
The camp started under the theme “Swachh Bharat Mission” under which the volunteers cleaned the college campus and the adjoining lawns and gardens, made to paint the trees and pots. Tree plantation activity was also done wherein students adopted few plants.
On the second day the students organized awareness rally in the nearby villages Thuha, Nepra, Alampur etc on Health, Cleanliness, sanitation & AIDS awareness. The volunteers were followed by the nursing students and staff.
Dr. Manjula Kataria while giving information said that the 7 days campwould also be followed by a blood donation camp on its conclusion day. The camp will be organized on 28th January by a team of experts of PGI, Chandigarh at Aryans Campus.
“A team of experts of law and orders has also been invited to create awareness about various laws, rules and regulations to be adopted for the betterment of local villagers” Manjula Kataria added.
Ms Jagjit Kaur, Principal, Aryans Institute of Nursing, appreciated the patriotism, compassion and love that the volunteers depicted for their nation-their motherland, and further inspired them all to remain a part of such social activities. She thanked all the revered guests who spared their valuable time to be a part of this camp.
Jagjit while adding said that such camps ensure the all round development of students. The students of Aryans were also acknowledged on the self employment opportunities by the principal.
